ABOUT OUR VETERINARIANS

We have eight doctors on staff at Northeast Veterinary Hospital and all of them are experienced in canine and feline medicine. Four of our veterinarians are also experienced in the care of small mammals, including ferrets, rabbits, guinea pigs, gerbils, hamsters, rats and mice. The services our doctors provide include routine preventative care for young healthy pets, early detection and treatment of disease as your pet ages, and complete medical, surgical and dental care as necessary during his or her lifetime.  With eight doctors, we not only offer many years of practical experience, but also some options for on-site care that you will not find at many hospitals, including veterinary acupuncture, dental radiology and orthopedic surgery.  Our veterinarians provide sound advice and optimal, cost-conscious veterinary care, thus allowing you to enjoy life with your companion for a maximum number of years.

DOCTOR BIOS

Dr. Erik Christensen

Dr. Christensen joined Northeast Veterinary Hospital in 1996, after working in mixed-animal practices in the Caribbean and Nebraska

Preventative medicine for your pet, the nuances of managing chronic issues, and all the available options for diagnostics and treatment often require extensive discussion. Dr. Christensen's focus is communication and working with clients to keep their pets happy and healthy, always taking into account the logistical and emotional cost

Dr. Christensen has no pets himself, but loves his wife Mary, and so agrees to house and care for the menagerie. He has multiple hobbies outside of work, and according to the staff, these will probably be described in repetitive detail at your appointment.
