Born and raised in Queens, NY, Dr. Tweed earned her veterinary degree from Cornell University in 2000. Dr. Tweed has a special interest in Chinese medicine and how it can be integrated into Western veterinary medical practice. She received her Certification in Veterinary Acupuncture in 2017 from the Chi Institute of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine.

Anyone who knows Dr. Tweed knows about her obsession with brachycephalic breeds (French and English bulldogs, pugs, and other squishy-faced dogs), especially her own French bulldogs 'Cecile' and 'Mavis.' In her spare time, Dr. Tweed's passions include photography, making jewelry and creating assemblage art for her Etsy shop, and composing and performing music on her vintage 1980's Yamaha DX7 synthesizer.
